Our day included a walking tour through the Pláka, or the old historic neighborhood of Athens, near the Acropolis, this labyrinth of streets showcases neoclassical architecture and is known as the “Neighborhood of the Gods.”

Panathenaic Stadium, the only stadium in the world built entirely of marble.

We visited the Temple of Olympian Zeus and ate dinner al fresco.
